2020 FLINDERS RUN BAROOTA CREEK CABERNET SAUVIGNON/SHIRAZ
$38.00 – $210.00
The 2020 Flinders Run Baroota Creek Cabernet Shiraz, my initial response is WOW! This is a big wine jam packed with fruit flavours, blackberries cherries raspberries, even a hint of rhubarb and spice, all reminiscent of grandma’s signature Christmas cake.
This wine showcases Flinders Run’s Signature style, big and bold but with an elegance that resonates sophistication style and class.
A gentle swirl of the glass reveals an impenetrable depth of colour, the wine exhibits glass staining purple hues with a bright and vibrant ruby red rim.
A complex wine with layers of ripe fruits, structured tannins bring together a seamless marriage of these two grand varietals.
GRAPE VARIETY: |
Cabernet Sauvignon/ Shiraz |
VINTAGE: | 2020 |
REGION: | Southern Flinders Ranges |
ANALYSIS: | 15.0% Alcohol |
CELLAR POTENTIAL: |
Proper storage comes with several factors namely temperature, humidity, storage stability, minimal presence of light, bottle positioning, and keeping the wine in a relatively stable and constant temperature of around 15 to 18ﹾC and humidity of around 70%. If you can store it successfully, avoid the temptation and put a few bottles away I can assure you will be pleasantly rewarded by one of mother nature’s natural phenomena that sees a complex wine reach a maturity that can only be achieved with time, a natural integration of oak, fruit flavours and an elegant softening of tannins. With proper cellaring the wine will evolve over the next ten years and for the patient connoisseur enjoy this fine wine over the next 15+ years. |

There is something special here that really delights the senses, rich ripe fruits and spice, star anise and wonderfully elevated aromatics that reminds us of fresh forest flowers, I must repeat myself there is something very special here that I believe is very much portraying this region’s unique terroir. |
