Australian landscape artist, Hans Heysen, would have envied not only our Flinders Ranges vineyards but the striking sight of our Baroota Creek Shiraz.

To an artist with his eye, he would have seen that our Shiraz is not one “clone” but rather a blending of five clones, each bringing a unique quality to his palette and, ultimately, to our palate.

Our dominant clone is the provis Shiraz with additional plantings of the following Shiraz clones R6WV28, Kalimna 3C, Barossa 1654 and PT15.

This is key to Baroota Creek Shiraz’s impressive pedigree.

The combination of these hand selected clones delivers a big, rich, bold wine, with an almost impenetrable depth of colour; think ink!

Flinders Run’s Baroota Creek Shiraz is a powerful, opulent, full-bodied wine style, displaying complex layers of lush fruits and spices.

Our use of new and high-quality seasoned oak barrels complements the fruit and gives this great wine balance and a long pure finish.

If landscape artist, Hans Heysen, were with us today, we’re sure he would have complemented his impressive body of work featuring striking gum trees and vistas, with some dashes of colour and light from parcels of grapes and vines like ours.
