Laura was born in Port Pirie, South Australia, the eldest daughter of a proud Italian family. Raised in a tradition where family comes first and pasta sauce a close second, Sunday nights were spent enjoying great food and good company in a family atmosphere, celebrating three generations of Italian heritage.

Laura’s career began as a regional consultant in the employment sector. She progressed in her chosen field of human resources, climbing the corporate ladder to take on managerial positions in high profile human resource companies across the Spencer Gulf region.

Laura has stood steadfastly by Emanuel’s side, supporting him during the early stages of the company’s development. Much like Emanuel, she has been hands-on in the business, planting and training vines, and harvesting the fruits of their labour. During this time, it was clear the family business was growing and that she needed to help with the increased demands and commitment to international markets.

In response, Laura took on the role of Flinders Run Operations & Logistics Manager. She is the vital link that ensures the smooth day-to-day operations of the company, coordinating and organizing the bottlings, liaising with international customers, and organising Flinders Run’s attendance at international trade shows.
With more than 17 years’ experience in international exports, Laura has in-depth knowledge of the export business. Comprehensive, accurate export document preparation is her forte, and while liaising with freight companies and our international customers, she ensures every export of our premium wine portfolio is completed smoothly and successfully.

Laura’s position also means that she rolls up her sleeves and gets dirty and dusty too, and the boots go on without hesitation when this corporate wife needs to get into the thick of it during vintage. She is very much involved in the physical side of the business, assisting in all areas of the vineyards during demanding periods, picking, pruning, planting and training, as required. As a husband-and-wife team, Laura and Emanuel work hard as they develop their family enterprise together.
