A medium weighted palate, the wine shows a fruit driven style, plums, cherries, and dark chocolate lead to a mouth-watering finish.

Proper storage comes with several factors namely temperature, humidity, storage stability, minimal presence of light, bottle positioning, and keeping the wine in a relatively stable and constant temperature of around 15 to 18?C and humidity of around 70%.

This wine has been meticulously stored. At the customer’s request a high-quality cork closure was selected for the Asian market. Due to the cork’s quality and the meticulous cellaring the wines quality has not been compromised, in fact it has gracefully matured, and now into its fifth year in bottle, we have followed its maturation with a close eye. I am pleased with how this wine is evolving, still carrying its fruit forward personality, this wine’s got a few good years of quality drinking up its sleeve.

The 2018 Flinders Run Somso Merlot is a medium bodied wine style with a fruit forward personality, bottle time has rounded off the edges to create a smooth elegant wine style that can be enjoyed without too much fuss. A fun every day drinking wine, crafted for those who wish to enjoy a glass of red with pizza on a Friday evening. Flavours of red berries, plums, and dark chocolate coat the palate, while earthy overtones of tobacco are elegantly framed by a veil of soft tannins.
