Like most companies our epic journey has been one of trial and tribulation, with many lessons learnt as the journey unfolded.
It takes the love and support of all involved to make for a successful company, this support has stemmed from, parents, grandparents, brothers and friends, with each element from three generations helping in one way or another to bring Emanuel’s dream to fruition.
Owner / Managing Director
Emanuel has worked in the Viticulture/Horticulture Industry since 1991 working closely with Vitticulturalists in the Riverland and the Southern Flinders Ranges regions in South Australia.
It was during this time that he met Ian Smith Vineyard Manager and Vitticulturalist for Leasingham wines who identified the Southern Flinders Ranges as one of the best kept secrest in Australia’s wine industry.
Emanuel’s day to day duties include working in the vineyards and olive grove to ensure that they are kept growing at their optimum, as well as working closely with the Flinders Run winemaker to produce premium wines with a distinct flavour and personality which are unique to the Southern Flinders Ranges.
Emanuel is proud of his family heritage, it is this family heritage that has influenced his drive and passion to develop the Flinders Run dream. Much of his time today is spent on the International stage where he is proud to fly the flag as the ambassador for the Southern Flinders Ranges as a viticulture region.
Operations/Logistics Manager
Emanuel’s wife, Laura’s career began as a regional consultant in the Employment sector, she progressed in her chosen field eventually taking up the role as the regional consultant for Business S.A.
During this time it was clear that the family business was growing and that she was needed to assist with the growing demands placed on us with the commitments to the International markets.
Laura quickly took up the role within the company; she is the vital link that ensures the smooth day to day operations of the company. Her role as Operations and Logistics Manager sees her, coordinating international trade shows, liaising with our many international customers, as well as coordinating all exports and shipping requirements.
It is Laura’s role as Wife, Mother and Operations / Logistics Manager that ensures the smooth running of the Skorpos family and its company operations.
